Our Story

SkySaathi was born from a very personal place. As an Indian expat living thousands of miles away from home, the thought of my parents traveling alone to visit me was always a source of quiet anxiety. The long flights, the layovers in unfamiliar airports, the language barriers—it was a lot for them to navigate on their own.

I soon realized I wasn't alone in this feeling. I saw the same concern mirrored in the eyes of my friends and community members. We all shared a common worry for our elderly parents, hoping they would reach their destinations safely and without stress. We'd coordinate with friends of friends, hoping to find someone on the same flight who could offer a bit of company or a helping hand.

This widespread need sparked an idea: What if we could create a platform to formalize this informal network of help? What if we could use technology to connect anxious parents (Yatris) with experienced, kind-hearted companions (Saathis) on the very same flight?

That's how SkySaathi came to be. It’s more than just an app; it's a community built on the shared desire to pay it forward. By helping someone else's parents today, you build a circle of trust that ensures your own parents will be looked after when they travel tomorrow.

Our mission is simple: to ensure no parent has to feel alone in the sky. We believe that a friendly face and a helping hand can transform a stressful journey into a pleasant one. Whether you're an expat seeking peace of mind for your parents or a Saathi willing to share your travel experience, you are part of making that mission a reality.

Thank you for being here.
